Autumn 2008
Welcome to the Play Cricket web site home of Wells Cricket Club. We are a small Club but with plans to develop and build on our long history. We now run Junior sides for Under 11, 13 and 15 age groups, a dedicated Ladies section with matches at both adult and junior levels, two league teams playing in the Shrubbery Somerset Cricket league and our Swans XI who play friendly fixtures on Sundays dedicated to developing our young members and providing a more relaxed standard of cricket. With the support of Awards for All, Wells City Council, ECB and others we have and will continue to develop our facilities. This close season we will install new drainage facilities on the pitch, add additional practise facilties, add a new kitchen and hopefully additional changing facilities and new machinery store.
On the playing side the 1st XI gained promotion and will be playing in Division 2 next year, narrowly missing out on winning the league by some obscure accounting method ... Sadly the 2nd XIs venture into Division 2 lasted just a season.

Club Diner: Saturday 22nd November 7.30 for 8.00 at the Clubhouse. As in the last two seasons it will be a hot buffet.
